Afghanistan
- For Afghanistan Information Management Services; Delivery of capacity development services to Government of Afghanistan (GIS focussed)
- Design and Implementation of capacity development strategies for the geospatial expansion in the Government of Afghanistan.
- Development of concept papers and resource mobilization for the implementation of geospatial science degrees in the universities in Afghanistan.
- Implementation of geospatial capacity development strategies and cost recovery methodologies for the AIMS project and GIS staff. Establishment of key development partners including USGS and ESRI for the establishment of both NSDI and ESRI authorized trainers.

- For Land Use and Statistics Department, Ministry of Agriculture; Environmental Sector Programme Support (ESPS): Identification of training needs, budget review of GIS department. Design and delivery of customised training courses. Development and implementation of procedures for updating the current digital land use maps using remotely sensed imagery and design of new classification system.

Development of methodologies for measuring and mapping radiation values in mountainous regions to improve agricultural potential. Provision of advanced training courses in classification of remotely sensed imagery and GIS.

- For International Coral Reef Initiative (ICRI): 4 day conference for presentation of papers for ICRI regional member states Management and coordination of the presentations and logistical arrangements.
Kazakstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan
- For Institute of Science and Technology; Implementation of GIS: Procurement of all hardware and software to establish 3 GIS units named above. Design and delivery of training courses for 10 delegates and follow up workshops with advanced GIS training in each location.
